We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Lesson 6 - N.E.W.T. Level Empty Lesson 6 - N.E.W.T. Level

Post by William Winston McCoy Mon Feb 14, 2011 11:25 am

Another school year, another bunch of new and old students... Every year the same, but every one of those years he enters these classrooms with a smile on his face and joy in his heart because of the classes and the opportunity to teach new wizards and witches what he knows. The lesson plan and the working methods are still the same, the classroom is still empty... but the latter will soon change. Professor McCoy took his seat at the front desk and waited, scrolling through papers.

Jack was getting sick of showing up on time and, even worse, early, to class. Even today, she found herself entering Transfiguration before the bell. What shame, seeing as she had struck up a comedic routine of entering the class late and still managing to answer the last question that had been answered. She would not be able to do that today.

"No timeliness lecture today, professor," she said, calling to the professor that seemed focused on some parchment at his desk. She went to the back corner seat and collapsed into the chair, setting her wand and her book on the table top before pushing her feet up onto the table. She leaned back, putting her hands behind her head and leaning back. Why? Because she could.

Lesson 6 - N.E.W.T. Level Empty Re: Lesson 6 - N.E.W.T. Level

Post by Roxanne Taylor Wed Mar 16, 2011 6:31 am

Roxanne spent a leisurely amount of time during her free period, lounging around the common room while snuggling up with a historical fiction book her father had sent her. He constantly sent her new books; he too shared a love of literature, especially historical. It was her favorite genre, fiction or nonfiction. She could become completely engrossed in the books for hours on end. Thankfully, the flow of students coming into the room signaled her to look at her watch, something she probably wouldn't have done otherwise. She almost regretted that she would be signing up for an extra class later that day that would eliminate her free period. But, she detested laziness, and knew that because of her lack of commitment toward a certain profession meant that she needed to make sure that her education was well-rounded.

As she began packing up her things and setting out for her Transfiguration class, she toyed around with the different professions she might pursue. At one point, she had considered being a Healer, mainly because of her love for Potions. But, that was quickly deterred by her lack of bedside manners and just dealing with people, having to be caring and all of that. It just wasn't up her alley. The childhood dream of being a famous Quidditch player haunted her still at times but that was unrealistic and intangible, it wasn't something she could count on actually happening. Besides, how long did a career like that last? Not long enough to be financially stable for an entire lifetime. Recently, she had been thinking about becoming a historian or writer for the Prophet, but those didn't really seem like financially sound jobs either. Everything was up in the air and she wasn't able to settle on a decision. This irritated her parents to no end, they wanted her to settle on something and shoot for the stars. It was both annoying and comforting; at least they cared enough about her to worry about her future. From what she had heard from some other students, having truly caring parents who were concerned about their child's well-being was an oddity.

Her thoughts had distracted her long enough and she soon found herself entering the Transfiguration classroom. She smiled brightly at Professor McCoy before sitting down in the front of the classroom. She began setting her things on her desk, looking around with a surprised expression as usually there were a few more people in the classroom around this time.

Lesson 6 - N.E.W.T. Level Empty Re: Lesson 6 - N.E.W.T. Level

Natasha was happy to walk out of the great hall after lunch. She had Transfiguration now. It was her other favorite class. Nat swung her bag over her shoulder and started walking.

On the way to the classroom she thought about what the lesson was going to be. Natasha was worried if she was going to be able to actual spell. She was the type of person who wanted to be able to do everything.

Natasha walked into Transfiguration classroom. There were 2 girls already sitting in there and the teacher himself. "Hello Mr. McCoy." she said as she made her way to a table in the second row.

Lesson 6 - N.E.W.T. Level Empty Re: Lesson 6 - N.E.W.T. Level

Post by Elijah Krum Mon Apr 04, 2011 3:06 pm

The day had gone well so far. Elijah was waiting for it all to go wrong, though. He'd gotten a letter from his father, detailing the changed in Fauve and Thierry's schooling. Apparently they were setting an example, on that their father would do well to follow. Elijah got the hint well enough. If the grades were anything to go by then he was being shown up by his own children. How embarrassing.

Still, it gave him a reason to smile. He was proud of them. It also gave him a reason to wander to class. Now, he had Transfiguration so, after shoving another piece of toast into his mouth, he went up to the classroom.

Opening the door, Elijah stepped inside. He kicked the door closed and walked down the central aisle. He then promptly took a seat.

Yumi rushed through the halls and into the classroom. "Hello Professor." she said curtiously. She made her way to the second row and took a seat beside one of the girls already there. She noticed she was the fourth one there and sighed. She has hurried to the class thinking she was very late. It didn't look like it, but she shrugged and looked at the girl she was sitting next too. She knew the girl but she was too tired to figure out who it was. She put her arms on the table and rested her head on her arm.
