Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Child's play Empty Child's play

Post by Andrei Dolohov Wed Dec 12, 2012 9:38 pm

Andrei furrowed his brow, licking his lips as he looked down at his latest victim. The young boy sat quivering in a corner of the corridor, looking up at Andrei with fear. The insolent child had called his family filthy and cursed as he walked by. Now he did not like that at all. It was surely just some kind of dare between him and his classmates, a challenge to see who was the bravest of them all. Either way, he was far from understanding for foolish little boys talking crap about his family.

Usually, he would just send a quick and effective warning to the boy, but this day he was in the mood for something much more. Leaning in closer and grabbing his collar, he could hear the accelerated pulse of the boy's heart almost jumping out of his skin. "Now you must forgive me as my hearing is quite bad. I heard you say something about my family, but I'm not sure what it was exactly. I might be wrong though. Surely you said something else", he spoke through a threatening smirk.

The little boy opened his lips to speak but he was lost for words, shivering on the cold ground beneath him. Andrei rolled his eyes and sighed, he really did not have the patience to deal with this today. But he couldn't just leave the boy alone, that would set a bad example. No he had to show him the consequences of his actions. "Tsk, tsk. Didn't your mother teach you it was rude to swear", the mused through a smirk and an icy glare.

Child's play Empty Re: Child's play

Post by Amelia Macmillan Wed Dec 12, 2012 10:06 pm

Amelia had been wondering around doing her Perfect duties for once. She was honestly just looking for her little brother. The little rascal keeps sneaking out every night. She just wanted to see where he was. She didn’t want him getting in trouble.

She had wondered up to the sixth floor when she saw something from the corner of eye. Who that hovering over her brother? She didn’t think just reacted. She felt her blood boil, no one messes with her little brother. She drew out her wand as she strode toward the two boys.

“Leave him alone,” she growled unsure if she would use her wand or her fists to handle this. She shouldn’t use either like a good little Perfect but she isn’t really the good little Perfect she was supposed to be. She pulled her little brother off the ground her eyes burning with anger. “Drew, move or I swear to Merlin I will hex you,” she warned to keep Drew from interrupting. Amelia knew one thing for sure, this boy had just met his worst nightmare.

Someone's voice caught his attention and he turned his head quickly only to see a blond haired girl ready to intervene. He frowned and rolled his eyes at her dramatic words. Well she was certainly making a big deal out of nothing. He didn't even do anything to him yet! But with a glance of her perfect badge, he realized the situation was different than he though. He escaped a detention just yesterday! There was no way he was going to allow this little miss Hufflepuff to get him into trouble for nothing.

"I don't think you should get in the middle of my business", said Andrei with a cold stare. This had nothing to do with her, it was between him and that little boy. What she saw was Andrei talking to him in a rough manner, and technically that wasn't breaking any rules. Not at first site at least. Besides, he wouldn't hurt the little boy too much. He would just teach him a lesson or two, so no harm done there.

"I barely even touched him! But if you stick around you'll see much more", he said with a grin as he shot the boy a stare. "Come on!! Hiding behind a prefect doesn't really help your situation here. I don't bite - I promise. And you should move along Princess, don't wanna get in my way", said Andrei taking a step towards her. He didn't have time to deal with her as well, so the smartest thing she could do here was just leave.

Amelia was done with this little game. Like she believed a sixth year Slytherin was just talking to a third year Hufflepuff. She could tell this boy had no idea who she was or who Drew was. Well, he’d know very soon. She sighed; she was still hoping this could be done peacefully but not.

“I want to finish this!” yelled Drew. For once he wanted to do something that lived up to his brother and sister’s actions. It wasn’t fair Amelia wouldn’t let him do this but he knew Amelia had made up her mind and it was a hopeless cause.

“It is my business since he is my little brother! Drew I said leave or I swear I’ll tell mother you cheated on your last Transfiguration test!” she boomed losing what little control she had. She raised her wand straight up to the other’s boy’s chest. This boy better know she wasn’t bluffing at all because she would use her wand if he didn’t back off.

Realizing she was his sister, he sighed. He should have known she took this way too personally for her not to even know the boy. Of course she was protecting him, he was her little brother. But what that meant for Andrei is another pain in the ass he needed to get rid off. just by looking at this blonde, he could tell that she was determined not to back down from this.

"Your brother eh? I'm sorry to tell you that the boy has no manners, or common sense. Now let's be honest here, I couldn't care less about a little rat like him. But insulting my family won't get him far. Or you on the other hand, if you're taking his place", said Andrei taking out his wand and pointing it at her. Someone's going to pay for this, and if it wasn't the little rat then it will be her.

"If I were you, I would start with an apology", he suggested with a snare. Gazing at her face, he tried to remembered if he knew her name or who she was but nothing came up. No matter who she was though, he wasn't going to let her go that easily. "Come on now, let me hear your best one", he said with a smirk.

“Oh really, did it ever to occur to you that there are other factors in his world besides you. Did you ever think that he had just lost someone! No one ever thinks logically! It always has to be the kid is rude and senseless!” Amelia yelled. She was so sick of everyone. Drew wasn’t over the death of their siblings. He’s picking fights and doing stupid things trying to make something of himself, he’s just a kid. “He’s just a kid. He doesn’t know any better,” she added calmer.

Then the boy had the nerve to ask her for an apology. She would not apologize to a git like him. “We will not apologize. If my brother is insulting your family it is for a good reason. Despite the fact I have no idea who you are I will stand by my brother,” she stated firmly. What was that seemed familiar about him? She couldn’t quite place it.

"Other factors in his world?", asked Andrei laughing out loud. As if he would ever care about someone so unimportant like that. Everyone had problems and that didn't make this kid anymore special or deserving of his sympathy. "Do I truly look like a guy who would give a damn? And guess what little Princess, being a kid does not give him a free pass with me. Stupidity and arrogance is the same at any age", he said with a frown.

He chuckled when he realized she didn't know who he was. Obviously, that was the only reason she was challenging him in the first place. Well his name should fix that quickly. "Not a sharp one are you Princess?", he asked with a chuckle. "Dolohov, Andrei.", he said expecting her withdrawal after those words. That would be the only smart thing she could do at this moment. Maybe, if she apologized and get out of his sight as soon as possible, he could overlook her little bar of a brother. But she had to act fast. Andrei was an impatient man and he only gave a few chances, and this was her last.

"And you Princess? Who do I have the pleasure of talking to?", he asked with a smirk.

Amelia rolled her eyes; this boy was so full of himself. She found him quite annoying and she was wasting her time. She had better things to do. She could tell he had to respect for her so she had no problem thinking of hexes to use on him. All she heard from him was disrespect for her.

Anger flicked her in eyes soon as she heard his last name. She wasn’t one for hating a person but his family was thought to have killed her mother’s godmother. She couldn’t help feel hatred for him. He didn’t seem any different from the rest of his family. “Brilliant,” she mumbled.

“Amelia Macmillan,” she said pushing Drew back making him fall over. She had her wand drawn and was standing fully in front of her brother. “You just stay away from my little brother. Your family took someone important from us. You’ll have to go through me to get to him,” she spat her eyes turning a darker shade of blue from anger.

When Andrei heard her name, he went silent for a while. He knew that name from before, he was sure of it. Macmillian, he repeated in his head trying to find any links to her name. Then her remembered his job interview with Neville. So that was the troublesome little girl. One thing was for sure, Longbottom was right when he said she was the one to look out for. If he wasn't careful around her, he had a feeling she could become quite a pest and a whole in his plan.

"Ah - well now that makes sense. Obviously you are a Bones, how didn't I think of that before. Your mother is lovely by the way, such a charming creature. In a very psychotic and crazy way. Must be a family trait then", he said with a chuckle. Now that he knew who she was and how she looked like, he would make sure he pays more attention to this girl. He was sure she could cause him plenty of trouble if she wanted to, and he couldn't risk that. But then again, if he played his cards right she could be an asset to his plan.

"How is your leg by the way? Alice says you hurt it quite badly in the Forbidden forest", he said that on purpose knowing it would come to her as a surprise. "Don't play with me Macmillian. Now I'm still waiting for that apology", he said with a smirk.

Amelia was ready to deck Drew; he was getting in the way of things. She was boiling mad. No one talked about her mother like that. She was done playing games. She had hit her limit. She knew she would get another detention this was worth.

What is he doing with Alice? No wondered Neville is worried about her, she thought. She knew if she spoke to him right now it would come out in Scottish swear words so she said nothing. She just raised her wand and held it firmly. “Oppugno,” she casted. Little gold birds in the shape of a woodpecker came shooting out. She smiled, she was so back.
