Hotness, Hot guys and summer time fun!

Katie didn't even know why she was out here, here she was sick with a migraine headache and she was outside in the heat ! Nothing was more crazier and stupider then that, and if the guys  found out she was out here, it'll be a one way ticket back inside to the Hospital Wing. She hated it there, the walls were white and boring and the beds were so uncomfortable to sleep in. Katie even hated St. Mungo's, she hated any kind of Hospital that had to do with needles. It was clear that Katie hated needles, let me reword that, she was terrified of them! They scared her since she had a bad experience with one once!

It was when Katie was seven years old and she was in the hospital due to have having tonsil taken out. The nurse had to do a I.V. on Katie so they could put her asleep for the procedure, of course Katie didn't mind seeing how she had shots before, but the nurse poked her several times, and when she found a spot, she stick the needle in which hurted Katie and in the end left a scar on her left hand. That was the reason why Katie hated needles and Hospitals. Although no one knows that but the guys and her mother, she refused to tell anyone else that story, due to them laughing at her.

Pushing it out of her mind, Katie gotten hit playfully by  her cousin and snapped out of trance. "Hey! what that for Ty?" Katie asked him crossing her arms and pouting. "You were out of it Katie, and plus it looked like fun!"said Tyler smirking at her. "Oh your going to get it now!"said Katie as she tackled him to the ground. Tyler was her and Kenneth's cousin, and was a Gryffindor graduate but he always had Katie's back when the guys and Kenneth weren't around. Giggling as she tackled Tyler, her eyes widened as he picked her up over his shoulder and toss her into the grass.

"No cool Ty, not cool!"said Katie softly before she picked a flower that was growing around her. "Your welcome Katie!"said Tyler smirking as he flicked some grass at her before laughing. Shaking her head she tackled him before putting grass in his blond hair. " It been fun Katie, but I got to go and do some work and you should be inside getting better!"said Tyler. "Aw... come on Ty, we were having fun!"said Katie pouting as Tyler chuckled. "Once I get my work done, I'll owl you and we can have some more fun in the sun!"said Tyler. "Promise?"Katie asked him softly. "I promise, although we'll probably have to meet at Hogsmeade I don't think I can sneak in again."said Tyler softly

Eva came walking down into the court yard at the end of the play fest between Katie and her cousin. "You know it probably wasn't the best idea to have to sneak them in to begin with." she said looking at Katie. Eva was normally a quiet person until you got to know her. Upon knowing her you knew she had the potential to be a trouble maker. Her older brother had always said that it was the quiet ones you had to watch out for and with Eva she really was.

Eva for the most part of her life, liked to sit and watch people. When her parents had sent her to muggle school growing up, she had been the outcast. The creepy goth girl that no one wanted anything to do with and she let that stay like that. "Besides," she added, "I thought you had a headache. Might wanna get that checked out before your head falls off."

She moved to a spot by a tree and sat down under it. It was days like today that she missed her ball python Ali Babba. On the warm days she was actually allowed to take him outside and let him slither through the grass, although he never ventured too far away from her, only bringing back the occasional rat to eat. She sighed. She wanted to see her snake more than anything. "Soon my friend soon." she said more to herself than to anyone else that was around to hear her.

Sophia rolled her eyes at her Slytherin friend. " Ugh... come on Eva, no one seen him!"said Katie honestly. " I didn't get to spend much time with him, to many girls were all over him!"said Katie rolling her eyes. She knew her cousin was hot, but could they leave him alone when she wanted to spend time with him? "He's going to be in Hogsmeade this weekend, I can't wait to spend some time with him!"said Katie happily.

" I do Eva, but there's no way I'm going to stay inside on a day like this, it's torture!"said Katie simply. " Please don't tell the guys or my brother, they'll make me go inside. "said Katie honestly. She knew how her brother and the guys were, it annoyed the crap out of her. " I'm fine, I think it's just allergies. " said Katie simply.

Looking at her, Katie noticed she was a bit quiet. " Miss Ali Babba?"Katie asked her softly. Katie knew of her baby python, Eva talked about him and showed her pictures. " Who's taking care of him while you're away?"Katie asked her curiously. " You know, I feel like it been forever since we hung out. " said Katie honestly. Katie been hanging out with Cupid, the same house as Eva so she was sure she knew him.

She knew that Katie had a crush on her best friend Cupid, Katie told her about it. She told her everything, but Katie didn't want to admit she still had feelings for her best friend. Sighing Katie sat down beside her.

Eva pulled out a pair of sunglasses and put them on over her face. “Its really too bright outside.” She had gotten used to the dark ambient light of the dungeon that she called home while she was here. The only child to have been sorted into Slytherin and her siblings picked on her for it. But even she had to agree with Katie, there was no point in staying inside on a day like today. It was a miserable use of one’s time to stay pent up in a dark room all day wasn’t it?

The mention of Ali Babba caught her attention, “Yeah I do actually. My mum is taking care of him.” She had been attached to that python since before she had ever gotten him. The first time she laid eyes on him, he was only a baby and she fell completely in love with him. Whenever she could go home and spend time with him she was there. She had had him before she even came to Hogwarts but he was still her baby. “I don’t know why they won’t allow him.” She sighed, “It’s not like I let him roam around just anywhere. He stays in his cage majority of the time. I wouldn’t let him eat someone else’s pet.” She pouted putting her hands on her cheeks.

“We haven’t hung out in a while.” She replied. Eva rarely had many friends. Friends were something that someone had to not be so weird to get. She knew Katie had feelings for her best friend but she wouldn’t say anything about it so long as it didn’t come up. It just wasn’t the type of person that she was. Most guys even ignored her saying that she was too weird.

“So is that your way of saying you have something planned for today?” Eva asked curiously turning to look at her friend.

Katie nodded in agreement.  "I have to agree,  it is a bit bright." said Katie honestly.   It been rainy the past couple of days, so to see it sunny was odd.  Pulling out her sunglasses she realized she didn't have any but Tyler pair he let her burrow.  " Yeah I know there Ty sunglasses,  but hey I rock them!"said Katie honestly.   " I don't think I'm giving them back to him either!"said Katie smirking.  

Katie shrugged.  " I think it's because they think he'll eat the rats and stuff. " said Katie simply.  " Although I mean really who has a rat as a pet?"Katie asked her.  Katie always hated rats,  every time she saw one Icicle her owl would eat it.   " As weird as it was,  Icicle and him gotten along quite nicely I remember,."said Katie honestly.   Icicle was her snowy owl,  she gotten it when she was young as well.  She found Icicle on a camping trip with her cousin, brother and the guys.  

Katie nodded.  " It has been,  so what you been up to?"Katie asked her softly.  " You already know about me,  I want to know about you. " said Katie.   " Any boys you like?"Katie asked her smirking at her.   " You can tell me,   I'll keep it na secret just like I always do. " said Katie smiling. Katie never told anyone secrets, she took them to the grave with her. Besides, she wasn't that way nor would she ever become a back stabber.

“But what’s so wrong with him eating the rats?” she asked sighing exasperated. “They don’t have a problem when the owls do it!” She laughed a little at what Katie asked her, she hadn’t seen anyone at school with a rat as a pet, but then again she made it a point to avoid most of the people in school. She was actually thinking of trying out for the Quidditch team at the start of the next year, but she wasn’t about to tell Katie that. She wanted it to be a surprise if she did.

“I haven’t seen anyone around with a rat, but then again…I don’t think most people would want to admit to having a rat as a pet.” She sighed, “You know I’m too socially awkward for boys to pay attention to me. I’d scare them off.” She laughed a little. “I’ve been keeping to myself actually. I’m ready to get home to my records and Ali Babba more than anything.”

She needed a distraction right now to keep her mind off of everything that her mind was messing around with her. Her mother didn’t have to write to her to tell her there were problems going on at home. She was intelligent enough to read between the lines. As well as her brother telling her along with a ‘don’t worry. You know how they can get’ along with it. She turned and looked at Katie, “Wanna get away from here for a while?” she asked curiously. “Everyone is getting ready to go home for the summer after all. We could probably get away with it.”

Katie shrugged.  " I don't know,  I think they think he'll eat other students rats. " said Katie.  " I know Icicle eats rats,  so I agree I see no difference. "said Katie honestly.  It made Katie laugh seeing first years with rats.  She honestly didn't know rats or toads were popular anymore.  She guessed they still were,  people were still buying them.

" I seen a couple of first and second years have them but that's all. " said Katie honestly.   " Nah.... you know what they say,  the quiet ones are the more feisty ones!"said Katie smirking.   Katie was shy as well around boys,  when she was around them she lost all confidence in herself.   It was weird how boys make you feel at times.   "I noticed that you're really quiet around Tyler, but you know him quite well why is that?"Katie asked her curiously.  

" You don't like him do you? Cause if you do I'm totally cool with it. " said Katie honestly.   Katie looked at her and smirked.  " Oh you have no idea!"said Katie honestly.  " Come on lets get away from here and have some fun. "said Katie.  " Wow... you want to sneak away? I'm starting to rub off on you!"said Katie smirking at her.

“I really wasn’t aware they were popular either.” She replied, “I mean I could understand a guinea pig or a poison dart frog but not a rat. At least the frog or guinea pigs are cute.” She laughed a little. She had yet to see a Slytherin student with a rat for a pet. They were like her on that. Most of them thought that poor kids who couldn’t afford an owl brought those, although some of the students with her brought cats. “It could also be they are afraid of someone’s cat getting ahold of him too.”

At the mention of Tyler, Eva looked up at her, “Tyler?” she asked curiously. She really didn’t know him well enough to have an opinion of him. She had seen him a few times when she was hanging around Katie but that was really it. He was cute, sure…most guys were to her. She really liked the guys that seemed to have that bad ass image going for them. They were the most fun to watch. Her siblings picked on her but she just laughed it off.

“I really don’t have an opinion of him yet.” Eva said looking at Katie. “I guess he is cute but other than that I’m not sure if he’s even my type.” She laughed at her own comment. Her type, what was she some silly boy crazed girl? “Besides, like I said I’m too socially awkward for boys. I would scare them all away the second I opened my mouth.” She gave a weak smile. “I guess you are, maybe not.” She added.

In all truth, Eva just wanted to get away from the school. She didn’t care how it happened. She was tired of being pent up and told where and when she could go somewhere. Weren’t kids supposed to be allowed some measure of freedom to grow and develop into the person they were going to be when they grew up? She stood up and started to walk away, turning back to look at Katie, “Since I’m going to assume you’ve done this before why don’t you lead the way of Goddess of trouble.”

"I honestly didn't think they were that popular as well, but I guess they are. "said Katie shrugging. "Frogs and guinea pigs are way cuter than a rat!"said Katie honestly. " I hate the way they walk, it's just creepy. " said Katie shivering at the thought of it. " That's true to, but wouldn't it be the opposite of that?"Katie asked her laughing. " Well... he's not that big yet is he?"Katie asked her curiously.

Katie chuckled and shook her head. " Let me guess, you like the kick arse bad arse Kind?"Katie asked her smirking. " Like I said before, you're not awkward you're just shy. " said Katie simply. Katie shrugged. " Eh...maybe I am, I just get shy and tongue tied around boys. " said Katie honestly. "Yeah maybe Tyler isn't your type he was always a trouble maker like me, I can't tell you how many fights he gotten in our muggle school. "said Katie shaking her head. " Anyways, we don't need boys to make us happy. " said Katie.

Katie smirked. "Oh you have no idea how many times I snuck to Hogsmeade or out. " said Katie honestly. " I'm like the queen of sneaking out, me and Cupid done it to many times to count. " said Katie. " With pleasure my dear Slytherin friend. " said Katie smirking at her after she heard what she said. Hiding in the shadows, she seen students and professors pass by. Looking around, Katie ran towards the edge of the gate.

“I would have to have a bigger cage for him to start getting bigger.” Eva said laughing. She knew more about snakes than most people cared to know. She felt like they were very misunderstood creatures. She wished she could speak parseltongue so she might better speak with Ali Babba. She loved her snake so much. “I have to agree rats are creepy. That’s why I’m glad my mum lets Ali Babba feed on any that wonder into the house.”

“How did you know?” she asked a bit sarcastically. “That’s just my type…well if I had a type anyway.” She listened to her and smiled a little, “Wouldn’t someone that got into trouble fit that stereotype anyway?” she asked curiously. “I know I don’t need anyone to make me happy. I’m fine just being me and me alone. I don’t need a man!” She hit her chest with her fist as a joke, “I am woman, hear me roar!” She had always heard her mother say such silly things. Italian women weren’t something to play around with. They tended to get tempers and she was never one to pick on her mother.

“Oh I don’t?” she asked looking at her, “How long have I known you?” she asked raising an eyebrow. At least those could be seen with her sunglasses on. “And you never invited me? Oh I’m wounded.” She sighed in fake exasperation. “And here I thought you were my friend.” She followed after Katie and kept up with her pretty quickly. It was easy enough to go by unnoticed when you weren’t that noticeable to begin with. You learn how to slink in and out of shadows when you keep to yourself.
