meeting w/ the hospital director

Khaat had sent Archangel through the hospital with a message to Jack. Her life was going to ber significantly different now, and she needed somebody here that she trusted. Her note had read: "Jack, when you get a moment, would you mind stopping by my office, please? I could use your help with a matter. Thanks! Khaat"

She had given Archangel an apple slice that he had swallowed greedily and had gone off to find Jack, knowing there would be more apple when he returned to Khaat.

Jack Had received a Message from Khaat luckily the hospital wasn't very busy so he could go imediatly. He walked yo Khaats office. Jack was wearing white healer robes He knocked on the door not wanting to barge in.

"Come in, Jack!" Khaat called pleasantly. She was in an unmistakably good mood. She had prepared a tea tray with her favorite cinnamon orange tea and a little plate of her own homemade shortbread cookies. "Come in and close the door, please. I need your help, and I can't go to anyone I don't trust. I do, however, trust you. Help yourself to some tea. My father just sent me a new blend he's made. It is cinnamon, orange, and almond. I like it, myself." Archangel flew back to his perch, and Khaat rewarded him with a little dish of raspberries and apple slices attached to his perch.

"thank you" he said sitting down and pouring himself a cup of tea he took a sip of it "this is very good" he said giving her a friendly smile "What is it you needed to ask me?" he asked.

"Well, I think its all good news. Well, from my viewpoint it is," She said, sitting on the edge of her desk so she would not have the desk blocking them. "First--I am engaged." She showed him the sizable heart shaped diamond ring on her left hand. "To Professor Robert Dent, and I couldn't be happier. Secondly, Rob and I are going to be parents. I am about a month pregnant. That means I have to have someone here who will act as my second in command, to learn how to manage this hospital and anything that might come up when I might not be able to be here. I absolutely need someone I could trust with not only my life but with the life of, virtually, every person in the wizarding world. I'd like you to be that person for me, Jack. Would you at least consider it?"


OOC: This position is not a formally approved by Darren, but I'm sort of doing what I want to do. My rationale is "my hospital--my assistant". Does that work for you?

I would be honored to accept such a position" Said Jack "and you wont have to worry i have been watching Emof long enough not to let anyone leave my notice."

"Jack, you probably should know that a few days ago, a four year old girl died here because her parents were housing a very powerful, evil amulet. the little girl found it and it killed her by acccident. Her parents gave me the amulet because they realized how dangerous it was and didn't want it. I took it out into the middle of nowhere and destroyed it. It damn nearly blew me up in the process. I almost died that night. I would have, if it hadn't been for Rob and how quickly he managed to find me. The result is that he is extremely protective of me. He has sworn not to leave me out of his sight. To further complicate things, I am probably tops on Vincent Majere's list of enemies. It can be very dangerous to be associated with me, just so you know. I know you are one very brave and talented fellow, but I wanted to be up front with you. Part of your duties could very well be keeping me alive and safe once Vincent finds out I am pregnant. It could make him see me as vulnerable. I am counting on people like you and Jack Black Heart--people I trust to make sure my child lives, regardless what happens to me.

"But, more importantly, I want you to know every inch of this hospital, every employee, and every thing we do. Every program, every cent we take in or spend out. I want you to be the only other one who knows how to access medical records. Right now, I have them behind so many enchantments that even the wisest wizards would get tired of the process to get to them. If anything ever happens to me, those records would be sealed forever. I need someone who will take that responsibility about confidentiality as seriously as I do. Are you up for all that? If I am gone for any reason, I want you to be able to step in easily and run this place."

"Dont worry Your hospital is safe in my hands if you do leave" he said taking what she said seriously "and by the end of the week i will have everything i need to know about this hopsital memorized."

OOC: no, but she knows that vincent is looking hard to find a sign of weakness in her to use it against her, and she is just being cautious. she honestly felt she had vincent under control until she fell in love with rob. that compromised her feelings. and then she got pregnant, and that obligates her to not be so willing to "fight first, and ask questions later." she actually finds that rob expects her to take care of herself now. imagine that! lol!

'Excellent," Khaat smiled. "My goal for this hospital is that we take it out of the 1940's and make it a friendly, comfortable, state of the art wizarding hospital that other wizarding facilities will use as a model for their own. So I want all your suggestions on how to improve it."

OOC: Khaat completely redecorated/remodeled it. Check the thread on that. Its called Undoing the Past. She'll want Jack to continue that process.

"I have seen what you have done already with the hospital It is amazing. im sure anything i could suggest would not amount to much especially with what you have already accomplished" he said speaking truthfully.
