WAND TYPE: 10" willow with a core of acromantula venom. The wand's wood has a green cast to it. The handle is handcarved with a flowering vine. There are two jade riing insets on the wand. One jade ring is right above the handcarved handle and the other is just below it. Both jade rings are guarded by gold ring guards before they were mounted on the wand. It was a gift from her parents on her graduation from Beauxbaton's.

She likes a natural look, though, and generally wears her hair long, with her makeup simple but elegant. She has her own natural smoothness or grace that the other women in her family admire but some have not cultivated for themselves. Some people mistake that grace with fragility. Eve is anything but fragile. She generally has a smile on her face and is usually contented with life, even when things seem to be tough. She has a calm personality and is rarely rattled by much. She believes in living life to its fullest.

Is a rather disciplined person of habit in her daily life--gets up early, goes for a run regardless of the weather, then comes back and gets ready for work. On the weekends, when she gets up at the same time as she does during the week and goes for a run before anything else. Rarely allows herself to sleep in. Has a membership to a dance studio in Paris and slips off there 3 times a week to practice dancing. She used to slip off because her parents thought dancing was only good if it would help her "catch a man." If she weren't dancing for that reason, they criticized her, but she continued to go practice dancing because she liked it. She's been living independently for a long time, but she still sneaks off when she goes to the dance studio.

DEMENTOR: She doesn't exactly remember. She remembers that she went to her father's study late one night when she was a small child. She remembers turning the doorknob and opening it, and then feeling tremendous fear, but she has never remembered what happened or what she saw. Sometimes it still gives her nightmares on rare occasion.
VERITASERUM: She deliberately works hard at being graceful because she fears being rejected by others. She feels more secure in herself if she looks polished because her mother told her that a worthwhile woman was graceful and beautiful--until Eve believed that she was not worthwhile unless she was all of those things. It was why she herself insisted on going to Beauxbatons--so that they might make her a worthwhile woman.

PERSONALITY: Eve is generally a peaceful woman. She has a lot of inner conflicts, but she tries not to give in to those very often. She is disciplined, and she is loyal to those she loves. She works hard to try to please them just because she wants to. She is generous, passionate and has a good sense of humor. She loves the simple lifestyle she has seen from the people in Paris and Italy, and she tries to live that out in England. She looked hard for a flat that reminded her of Paris or Italy, and she furnished it with antiques and flea market finds so that it speaks to her love of the simple things. Her idea of a wonderful evening is a trip to a farm market for some fresh fruits and vegetables, coming home and fixing up a pasta primavera, pouring a glass of wine, and reading a good book. Her dream date is a simple picnic with good conversation, a fresh baguette, a round of brie, some fresh fruit, and a nice bottle of wine, all while watching the sun go down.

Early Years: Eve was the youngest of four children. Her family has been part of the death eaters, on both her mother's and father's side, for generations. Eve was, as they put it, "a happy little afterthought." It was their way of telling her they hadn't planned on having any more when she came along. Her mother had a compulsion with E- names and so she and all her siblings had E-names. She so resented them calling her Evelyn that she often got into fights when someone teased her over her name. She once got into a fight with a neighborhood boy who was a bit bigger than she was. He had so taunted her about her name that he had made her angry enough that she soundly defeated him and sent him home with several bruises. At the threat of a lawsuit from the boy's family, her family learned that calling her Evelyn was perhaps not so wise. They stopped calling her Evelyn and started calling her Eve.
Generally, though, her childhood was rather happy. She knew her parents were death eaters, and they taught her early on why being a death eater was important and why it was the only way to live and why she was entitled to have a better life than "those other people" fought for--meaning the Order and Muggles, and, well anybody who wasn't a Death Eater. She was also taught that her job, when she got older, was to make her husband successful and to make him look good.
Hogwarts Years: It was that desire to learn how to be a proper woman, a proper wife, that drove her to Beauxbatons. Because of Madame Maxine's kindness and tutelage, she lost the need to make herself a trophy wife and began to develop a love of llife of her own. She found she could dance and she took every dance class she could manage while she was in school. She studied the Dark Arts because her family insisted she do so. She also studied Defense Against the Dark Arts because she wanted to learn to defend herself. She also found most of her friends at school were in Defense Against the Dark Arts rather than the Dark Arts classes. Eve studied hard and found herself at the top of her class when she graduated, to her family's delight.
Adulthood: When her grandfather died, he left Eve a massive sum of money, and Eve has used it very frugally, investing some, banking most of it. She found a flat in an alley off Diagon Alley that she rents every month. It has 2 bedrooms and a bath upstairs, and a kitchen/dining room and a living room downstairs. The dining area has a set of french doors that opens into a courtyard. It is a little walled in garden where Eve has made a sanctuary for herself behind the garden walls. It is full of flowers, some trees, some bushes, and a beautiful flowing fountain, with cobblestone paths and some comfortable furniture. This is the space she spends most of her time in when she is home. Her apartment does not meet her family's approval. Partly because it is small. And partly because they do not approve of her Flea Market Chic she has used to decorate with. She rarely sees her family now, but they do continue to make regular deposits into her many diversified accounts. If she does see her family, she has to go to them, not vice versa.
