Welcome to Potter’s Army

Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

The following is an in-depth guide to the brooms sold at our store, and we hope that you take into consideration the notes on safety and quality when applicable. Not used to Wizarding Money, yet? Check out this Conversions List to help you out!

Newer Broomsticks:

  • The Firebolt Supreme: an upgrade on the original firebolt, this broom is termed "world-class." 175 Galleons
  • The Thunderbolt VII: made to compete with the Firebolt Supreme, many say it risks the safety of the user for the sake of increased speed. 150 Galleons
  • Nimbus 2001: Although the Firebolt models are faster than this one, the Nimbus Racing Broom Company has had continued success, as this is the most owned broom style in the world. The speed is brilliant, but - like the others on this list - should be reserved for more experienced flyers. 75 Galleons

Older Models:

  • Silver Arrow: created by Leonard Jewkes, this broom used to be the forerunner. Older graduates might remember Madam Hooch reminiscing about learning on one of these. Brilliant for beginners. 25 Galleons
  • Firebolt: back in 2014 (fourteen years ago, now!), this broom was passed up by the Firebolt Supreme, but this broom style definitely holds sentimental value for many. Intended for Intermediate users. 30 Galleons
  • Cleansweep One: the original broom from the Cleansweep Broom Company, there are very few of these still in good condition. It took the Quidditch scene by storm, and holds a great deal of value for collectors. 125 Galleons
  • Comet 260: this broom is our most popular for young students and parents looking to introduce their children to flying. It isn't exactly top of the line, but the price can't be beat, either. 10 Galleons

Don't see something you were hoping for? We can order from any of these companies:

  • Cleansweep Broom Company
  • Comet Trading Company
  • Ellerby and Spudmore
  • Flyte and Barker
  • Nimbus Racing Broom Company
  • Universal Brooms Ltd

So just give us a shout and we'll have it in right quick for you!

Other Supplies:

  • Practice Set: this includes decent (not highest) quality equipment from bludgers to a golden snitch. Also includes bludger bats, but does not come with hoops or a pitch, sorry. It's perfect for summer practices or young students hoping to make it on their house teams. 5 Galleons
  • Gloves and Pads Set: it's a nasty sport, Quidditch, and everyone ought to go out feeling safe. That's why we've always got these on sale. 2 Galleons.
