Welcome to Potter’s Army

Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

NEWT Unit One - Gamp's Law of Elemental Transfiguration

Gamps Law of Elemental Transfiguration
This class will pose as a fundamental class for what Gamp's Law of Elemental Transfiguration is. Students will learn that Gamp's Law of Elemental Transfiguration states that any object can be transformed into any object, that objects can be replicated, and that objects can be conjured out of thin air. The students will also learn that there are five exceptions.

NEWT - Gamps Law of Elemental Transfiguration First and Second Exceptions (Food Principle and Complexity Principle)
This class will pose as a lesson for learning the first two exceptions of Gamp's Law of Elemental Transfiguration. The first exception, the "Food Principle" explains that food can not be conjured out of thin air, but can only be replicated. The second exception, the "Complexity Principle" explains that nothing can be transformed into a human.

NEWT - Gamps Law of Elemental Transfiguration Third and Fourth Exception (Deterioration Principle and Antisoul Transfiguration Principle)
This class will pose as a lesson for learning the third and fourth exceptions of Gamp's Law of Elemental Transfiguration. The third exception, the "Deterioration Principle" explains that any inanimate object that turned into an animate object can not be physically used for anything. Once it is attempted to be used, it will revert back into the original inanimate object. The fourth exception, the "Antisoul Transfiguration Principle" states that anything alive can not be transfigured into inanimate objects.

NEWT - Gamps Law of Elemental Transfiguration Fifth Exception (Magical Equity Principle)
This class will pose as a lesson for learning the fifth exception of Gamp's Law of Elemental Transfiguration and review. The fifth exception, the "Magical Equity Principle" explains that you can not transform something with magic into something else with more magic.
