Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

THE MINISTRY

Minister of Magic
The minister is the political official that is the leader of the British wizarding goverment, and as such, he oversees all other ministry departments.
Minister of Magic (Robert Lupin)

The Wizengamot
The Wizengamot is the Supreme court for the British wizarding world, and as such, it holds trials for wizards who have disobeyed the law. if you are in the wizengamot, you must be present at the trials to determine a defendant's guilt or innocence, and decide sentencing. Members of the Wizengamot are paid 800 sickles whereas the chief warlock is paid 1000 sickles.

Chief Warlock (Khaat Lupin)
Member of the Wizengamot (Jess Potter)
Member of the Wizengamot (Narcissa Malfoy)
Member of the Wizengamot (Vincent Majere)
Member of the Wizengamot (Addison Marsh)

Department of Law Enforcement
Warden of Azkaban (Robert Dent)
Head of Law Enforcement (Jenifer Dent)
The Law Enforcement Department is responsible for the safety of the wizarding world. The two primary departments housed here is Law Enforcement (Aurors) and the Wizarding verion of a department of corrections--which in this case, is the administration of Azkaban prison. The warden of the prison falls within this department. The warden is in charge of the incarceration of criminals, along with their rehabilitation. The warden is also responsible for making sure that the dementors and other "rehabilitating elements" do not become too inhumane.

The aurors are law enforcement officers, assigned to the safety of wizarding Britain, to maintain wizarding law and order and to arrest all versions of wizarding law breakers, which could include Death Eaters, the search for mysterious activity, and insuring that wizarding law is enforced. If you're in the department of law enforcement, your job is too see if people are following the law and to track down the Death Eaters and dark creatures like vampires and werewolves whose curses are not under control and thereby make those persons dangerous to public safety. To become an auror one must successfully complete auror training, which is quite demanding and vigorous and include various spells and abilities that other wizards are not trained in. Aurors are paid 500 sickles per month and the head is paid 1000.

Aurors have been made into the new site faction. To apply for it please go to Feuding Forces Enlistment and apply there!

Department for Regulation of Magic
Spell regulators consist of two types of workers, ones that regulate spells and ones that are in charge for regulation of magical transport. People that regulate spells consist of 3 members that regulate all new spells with supervision of their head ofcourse. Transport regulators have special mark on apparation instructors that once a week go to Hogwarts school and teach NEWT students everything they need to know about apparating. Adults that learn apparation are more rare, but they are taught in the special rooms of the department. Head supervises both spell regulators and instructors.

Head of Regulation of Magic (OPEN)
Spell Regulators (OPEN x3)
Apparation Instructors (OPENx2)
