Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Morning's Galore Empty Morning's Galore

Post by Elijah Krum Sat Jan 26, 2013 4:51 pm

The morning was brisk and clean, the air as bitingly unforgiving as ever. Ground fog endeavoured with the desire to meet the earth with the heavens but did little other than succeed in masking the paths and the various appendages one threw in front of their faces in an effort to discern visibility. Which was, for the record, nothing. The grass was slick with dew and the trees that had retained their leaves hung limply beneath the lingering cloud. Those that had not stood erect and proud, valiant against the chill of the morning but they too showed signs of adherence to defeat. It was a morning that had yet to come into itself. It was still, in many respects, dusk.

The previous night had been spent toiling through paper work and the long hours had left Elijah Krum somewhat downtrodden and miserable. Surely by now, you would have thought he’d be used to it but evidently not. The young man had yet to really get used to working once the lights outside his office had gone out. His remained on but that gave him no motivation. In the end he had returned home, desiring to escape the office all together, lulled into contentment by the notion that the following day, this day in fact, would be his day off.

The plans were very simple: I lay in, late breakfast and little else with, perhaps, a visit to his godsons.

That particular morning had required him to be up early though, to attend to his own tiresome sprogs. He allowed Mira the pleasure of slumber, choosing against bothering her, and set about going in search of Thierry and Fauve’s whose voices echoed and made sleep a trial. He found them bickering amongst themselves in Fauve’s room, over a toy or something of the like. Elijah set them off in the direction of Stelladora and the kitchen and the pair immediately seemed better and more contented.

A short walk down the hall took him to the nursery where Cepheus and Caelum were wriggling in their swaddling, their eyes large and open to greet the day. Being so young, Elijah was slightly hesitant to take them on at first but once they were home with papers signed, he was as content as they were in the early mornings, kicking their arms and legs around. Just over a year old, they were beginning to also get frighteningly curious and anything they couldn’t reach would be with a little twinge of the nose or a flap of the arm. Wizards; and mischievous ones at that.

Leaning over the crib, Elijah helped Cepheus into a sitting position and immediately, the boy became interested in the toys that were at the bottom of his bed, allowing Elijah the time to pluck Caelum up out of his crib. Then, with Caelum in hand, he lifted Cepheus up, stuffed animal in tow. Then, the three boys made their way downstairs into the kitchen where Fauve and Thierry were tucking into breakfast. The twins were then subsequently taken off of Elijah’s hands and he settled down at the head of the table where there he finally began to drink his coffee as he perused the Daily Prophet for any worthwhile anecdotes.

And now, he could rest. Ahhh..

Morning's Galore Empty Re: Morning's Galore

For the first time in her life Mira could finally admit to being absolutely and completely terrified. In her third year at Hogwarts she had awakened a new bloodline of giant spiders and had to fend off their unwavering need for revenge. Over time her dabblings in the dark arts had exposed her to graphic horrors that no child should ever have to see. Even the pain of having her best friend locked away in hell on Earth didn't come close to comparing to what occupied her thoughts now. In less than six months she would be responsible for a newborn.

Now Mira was no stranger to taking care of children. Her husband to be had a little habit of adopting more kids than anyone in their right mind would think smart. Just recently he had gone on a business trip and returned with two young twins. This made a grand total of five children that she was helping to raise in the house. But a child of her own? Someone who was made of your own flesh and blood? That was different. A special bond that could never be replaced or replicated.

Sure, Mira couldn't help but be excited. Elijah had proved himself to be a great father with his adopted children and she knew in her heart that their child could be nothing less than perfect. After all, he would grow up to be a Krum.

Water poured over the blondes shoulders and the steam wafting from the shower fogged the mirrors. The hot water revitalized her bones and cleared her mind of the haze that sleep had left it in. This was quite possibly one of her favorite rooms in Krum Manor. It was easy to lose yourself here. It was also almost too easy to think amoung the bath salts and steam. Out of habit Mira ran her hand across her stomach again. After almost three months it was finally starting to change. She was no longer able to suck and make her stomach become disturbingly skinny. In fact it was starting to just begin ballooning, a soft outward curve forming, practically unnoticeable to anyone but herself.

Shutting off the tap, Mira stepped out of the shower and grabbed for a towel, drying off the wet surface of her skin. From there Mira returned to her room and took an embarrassingly long time prepping herself for the day. Between getting dressed, makeup, and hair, it took an eternity to get ready. Where or normally wouldn't have been such a time consuming effort, on days when she had nothing else to do, Mira enjoyed taking her sweet time and pampering herself. The funny thing was, she barely looked any different. Her face was clean and bright and clothes were loose and comfortable.

Entering the dining room, Mira immediately saw her husband to be. She gave him a soft kiss on the cheek and sat down next to him at the table. The chair at the end of the table was more comfortable, but much too far away for her tastes. "Good morning," she greeted him, a unmistakable warmth in her voice "did you sleep well?"

Morning's Galore Empty Re: Morning's Galore

Post by Elijah Krum Sun Mar 10, 2013 10:00 pm

A House Elf had come in early on and opened the large French doors that looked out over the grounds and through the space the open doors created, a breeze filtered through that carried on the air the first breaths of spring. The children grew restless as they eyed the green pasture that spread out like a fan before the house. The dogs were lording over the grass, rolling around as if they had never experienced the spring time before.

With a slight gesture, Elijah dismissed Fauve and Thierry, the latter of whom led the former out by the hand, and he watched them as they ran across the grass, careful to keep an idle eye on them as he fussed over Cepheus and Caelum. He looked up when the door opened and he smiled at the sight of his wife-to-be.

Leaving the boys for a second, Elijah got up and moved to her. He wrapped his arms around her waist and nudged her hair away so he could kiss her neck.

“Good Morning,” Elijah mumbled into her skin before bringing his head up. “Are you alright?” he asked gently before releasing her. “You must be hungry, eh?” Elijah pulled out a chair for his wife and smiled at her before returning to his seat.

Leaning forward, Elijah caught the attention of Cepheus who bounced a little in his seat and made a grab for Elijah’s hand. “What do you want to do today?” Elijah asked Mira as the boy began to play with his fingers. “I was thinking maybe a walk or something? Or would you prefer to stay in? I haven’t painted you in a while, you know..”
