Secrets and unknown truth revealed

Maura knew that Primrose was a popular pace for couples to go but Maura didn't care about that, she just liked that place because it was peaceful and the place. Maura didn't understand why it wasn't that popular to others besides couples, it was such a beautiful and peaceful place. Maura didn't think much of it, she never did to begin with so she wasn't going to do now.


Maura looked back at Ryo and smiled before looking at the view before them as the wind rustled through her hair. Maura shivered a bit at the breeze hitting her, but she didn't move from her spot she was enjoying the peacefulness and the view. It was nice to get away from all the craziness for awhile and not have any worries and care in the world, this was her place to get away from everything.


Maura looked at Ryo and smiled. "Yeah it is pretty nice isn't it?"Maura asked him looking at the view. "I come here at times to get away from everything and just think without all the craziness. "said Maura softly. Maura giggled at him seeing him now crouching down. "Tired of standing so you decided to crouch down beside sitting?"Maura asked him giggling.


Maura looked back the view before her light brown hair with caramel highlights blowing in the breeze making her smile. The breeze felt nice against her skin even if it made her shiver a bit, but it didn't bother her in the least.

He just always had to look at least a little bit cool, just a little. That was just how Ryo was. He had to put up a front around people, had to try to act like he was 'too cool' to be around most people so no one would try to get close enough to him to learn about what he was.

Not that that ever really worked.

It hadn't worked with Hit and apparently, it hadn't worked with Maura either. Ryo had a habit of attracting girls, not that it was actually a bad thing. It was just really inconvenient for him and he usually ended up driving them away with some stupid excuse (the comment of him being smart still stands) for why he didn't have time to date. They weren't all fake, though, he just had a bad way of presenting them.

Ryo was a busy guy, that much was true, but he wasn't so busy that he ended up neglecting people. He didn't neglect Hit, after all. He always talked to her and met up with her when they both had time, so clearly, there was something he wasn't saying there. Still, it wasn't like he just goofed off. Being a Spirit Specialist and a shop owner got tiring, not that he spent that much time at the shop - he should check in at some point soon.

He blinked, taking his eyes off of the beautiful view before him to look at Maura again. "When you said those things about being too busy to date, did you actually mean it?" He asked suddenly, feeling slightly embarrassed by his own question though he tried his best to shrug it off. Of course she'd meant it, why else would she have said it? Ryo mentally slapped himself for asking a question with such an obvious answer, but for some reason he had hope.

Hope that she would say she didn't mean it.

But then what would he say if she asked him the same thing? He didn't want to think that far ahead.

Maura the odd person she was, didn't have to put up a front she was who she was even if people thought she was odd. Although she had that sass to her and she spoke her mind, maybe it was something that Anya and her friends like about her.


Maura knew Ryo had that like 'bad boy' look going on like he was too cool for people, but Maura seen through it and didn't care about his rough around the edges personality.  Maura never attracted the guys or anything for that matter that she knew of, she was consider odd and strange to most of them.  How she attracted Ryo to her if she did was a mystery to her, she wasn't even trying to.  Maura obviously didn't date do to not feeling any connection with them, and half the guys she dated or went on dates with only liked her because of her looks. Maura was a firm believer that looks wasn't everything, it was what was on the inside that counts.


Maura herself was a busy person, with being a healer and helping her mother with the candy store her mother owned she was pretty busy.  Although Maura always managed to make time for her friends and family, so maybe she wasn't as busy as she truly made herself off to be.  It was just one of her excuses to keep herself from dating, besides dating was nothing but madness that's all it was. Maura took her job seriously and loved helping her mother out, speaking of helping her mother she should go see how she was.


Maura looked from the beautiful view before them back at Ryo.  "I am a busy person being a healer and helping my mother with her candy shop, but I do manage to make time for everyone, so I guess I meant it some."said Maura honestly.  "I mean I always tried to make myself busy so I'd avoid dating as much as I could, never had any connection with anyone really and they just all liked me because of my looks."said Maura.  "As I said before looks isn't everything, it's on the inside that counts to me."said Maura.

He had to admit that he was a little let down when she said that she had sort of meant it. That wasn't anything he could change though, at least not now. He decided something right then and though it was a rather sudden decision, he was sure it was one that wouldn't come back to bite him in the butt.

Ryo always had bad times with his sudden decisions, but they were usually funny to everyone else (by everyone else, that meant Hit).

He didn't think it would be best to say anything now, though, but he'd give her a hint.

"I've just decided something." he said, turning his head away from her to look out to the city again. "It's something important and I'll tell you eventually, but not now." he added, trying to think of a condition for his telling her. Ryo wanted to have some fun with this, considering it would be the first time he would do something like this. Well.. the first time in a while, the first time in almost seven years.

"But." He put a finger out for emphasis. "You have to do something before I can tell you. Remember that I told you you'd have to talk to Hit about that other reason for why I act the way I do with these things? You have to talk to Hit about it, then I'll tell you." he finished softly, extending his hand toward hers to take it as he went back down, kneeling this time instead of just crouching.

"For now though, I've actually got to go. It's gotten later than I expected it to get and I've still got one more stop to make before ending my day. I've got to check on my shop." He smiled and with her hand still in his, Ryo leaned forward and planted a light kiss on Maura's cheek before moving away and standing up straight once more.

He could feel himself blushing again.

"I'll see you later." And with that, Ryo apparated to Diagon Alley, to Eeylop's.

Maura didn't mean for it to sound like a let down, she was just trying to keep busy to hide her feeling about him, although that wasn't an easy thing to do. She thought pushing her feelings aside from him, hopefully she'll forget all about them boy wasn't she wrong.


Maura's thinking sometimes wasn't the greatest in the world, she acted without thinking at times.


Maura couldn't hide her feelings for him any longer surely he had to know how she felt despite what she said? Maura just said that to keep her guard up, the wall she tried so hard to keep up but Ryo was breaking it down no matter how much she tried to build it back up.


Maura lifted her eyebrows at him. "Oh... have you really?"Maura asked him obviously surprised by all this. "Um... ok... so when will you eventually tell me?"Maura asked him looking at him although he wasn't looking at her. Maura was greatly confused by all of this, what was he planning or was he even planning anything at all?


Maura looked at him and nodded. "Ok... I'll talk to her first, I'm sure she'll tell you that I talked to her so you'll obviously know."said Maura chuckling. Taking his hand she stood up in front of him obviously a dwarf compared to how tall he was, but Maura was always short.


Maura nodded. "Yeah it's getting pretty late, I got to finish some stuff for the hospital as well that I need by tomorrow."said Maura. Maura's eyes widened as he kissed her cheek making her blush.

"Um... yeah... see you later."said Maura smiling at him before he apparated to his shop. "Ok... that was weird."said Maura to herself as she apparated to her apartment.
