Item Name: The Archive
Item type: Book
How it was made: Sandra created it, with the help of an old Wizard in India
How you came into contact with it: N/A
Magical abilities:
-The Archive is really self explanatory - it's an archive. A small, slim, leather bound notebook, it actually holds libraries worth of information inside it, and is constantly expanding. Sandra can magically "download" pre-existing books into it, as well as add her own thoughts and information simply by speaking. She creates "profiles" of people she's fought before, allowing her to record their spells and fighting habits in case they clash at a later date. The Archive is voice command, and nobody else can open it unless Sandra gives them permission.

- It's downsides is it takes a significant amount of magical energy to keep open, so it's not incredibly useful during a fight. Also, the as time has gone on The Archive has begun to develop a personality, sometimes intentionally flipping to the wrong pages or simply refusing to respond.
Roleplay sample: Sandra slumped into her chair, pulling The Archive out from her bag. "Open," She said in a clear voice, and the book quivered for a moment before falling open to a black page. She thought for a moment, absently tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, and spoke again. "Access entry. Malfoy Manor."

The Archive obediently flipped a few pages, and Sandra was treated a layout of the Manor. "Read." Her voice came from midair, the words in the book glowing as it spoke them.

"Stop," Sandra said, taking a sip of wine. The book stopped. "Open to Lucius Malfoy. Read."


Sandra waved her hand, which was literally shaking from the drain of having the book read on top of the long day she had had. "Close."

How it was made:made by accident by Michael and his friends during their post-Hogwarts years. Hiss was the result of a spell gone bad, and Michael kept him/it.

Magical abilities: (must have good effects and bad) Positives: rope follows directions well and Michael can use it to help with his wizarding catburglarly. That's about it for the positive effects in it. Negative effects: Well, its just a bloody rope. It is very limited at what it can do. It thinks and slithers, can tie itself in knots, etc., but can't cast any spells or anything else. Its just a rope with a brain.
Roleplay sample: (Please use the item in Harry potter context so weknof it fits) Michael pulled an enchanted rope from his pack. "Go," he told it softly. It slithered like a snake and tied itself to the inside of the airshaft. "Its name is Hiss," he told Rob. He didn't know why he'd named the bloody rope, but he'd had it for years, and the sentient rope was the closest thing Michael had ever had to a partner in his work.

Louis took the Invisinblity Cloak and put it on. He went to the Corridors. He grabbed a lamp and made sure no one followed him. Louis saw prefects around the castle. Pitty they couldnt see him. He almost got caught.

He made it to the restriced section. He opened the door. He looked for a book a Parcelsus. He heard he made the art of Alchemy. He needed to know more. For his essay. He didnt find any in the Library so he wanst to the restricted section.

I don't think you should approve that Khaat actually. It's very unlikely Harry would've just not looked for it if it was stolen. So Louis, you either need to think of a better way as to how you recieved it or a new item.

Ok I'll think of a better way. Uhhh. OH yeah.

Is it possible that Harry gave it to Louis.

Well, Louis is a Weasley, and I'd assume that the bond between the two families would remain- however, I'd imagine Harry would pass the cloak down to his first son. Perhaps Harry’s son could have given it to you...? That is, if the canon hasn’t already been claimed- I am not that skilled at keeping track of such things- and he and Louis had a history of being good friends. You could build off of that if you’d like. Though, as I said earlier, it would be more likely for a Potter to have it in their possession.

JKR did mention in one of the later books that some had tried to enchant hats and such in a way that would make the wearer invisible. Perhaps Louis could have an imitation cloak? One that had the ability to make him invisible, but that had a few flukes...? That would be quite entertaining when role-playing as well; it could cause some trouble. It is simply a suggestion, an idea to make things easier on your part.
