Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Alexis walked into the Great Hall, yawning softly. There was nothing for her to do, anywhere, and she was bored of being at the lake all day. She needed to find something to entertain herself with. That was easy for a few minutes when it came to scents. With her werewolf senses she smelled things that humans couldn't really smell, even if they tried. She loved exploring the smells with her new senses, but she soon got bored of that as well. She had laid in the shade of a tree for a while at the lake, trying to relax, but obviously she had gotten bored of that as well.

So now there she was back inside the castle, after not wanting to be there at all. She had now planned to just go to the Ravenclaw common room and lock herself in the dorms and just lay there in her bed until she wanted to come out again. But she had changed paths on her way to the common room and she ended up in the Great Hall. She sat at a nearly empty table, except for the one other person there, since all the other tables were pretty much packed and she didn't feel like being near all those people at the moment.

She looked over at the other person, she was sitting with. She smiled slightly, trying to be nice and turned away a little, to look at everyone else, having their conversations, eating, just hanging out with their friends. It made Lexi want to have friends(her old friends she doesn't remember).

Sam couldn't help but wonder why people didn't just take their food outside to the grounds on nice summer days like today, in most cases it would make for a much nicer setting, and while the chatter of friends and the endless supply of food was a tempting thought, you could easily send a first year to the kitchens to get a snack for you, should you run out while enjoying the sunshine.

But today was different. With the End of Year tests coming up Sam couldn't be distracted, and that meant that outdoors was out of bounds.

It also meant that the common room, where all his friends were, was out of bounds.

And don't even start on the library. Sam wasn't allowed back there after the... lets just call it flame retardent test incident.

That was a week to remember.

But no, this time the Great Hall seemed to meet his needs, there was a nearby empty table and a supply of food in the room, so it seemed ideal to try and do some light studying in the hall while he caught up on his daily dose of... food.

"Hello Selwyn, Alexis," he said, casually smiling their way as he sat on Selwyn's side of the table, about 4 plates away from the two of them, and pulled out his CoMC textbook.

Lex barely noticed the kid slide toward her. Her attention was on the other students having their conversations like nothing was going on. Maybe for them nothing was going on, but for Alexis a lot was going on and being a werewolf, having to transform every month was something that was always on her mind. Where was she going to hide herself this month? was the main question in her mind.Everywhere she went she looked for someplace where she could conseal herself. No matter where it was it had to be away from the rest of the students so she didn't hurt them.

Finally when the kid began to speak to her, her attention transferred to him. But what he said, made her feel uncomfortable. The cute part was something she wasn't used to hearing. She hardly ever got compliments, and when she did, it was like something new. Her expression clearly showed she was uncomfortable, a somewhat serious look was on her face. She didn't even bother to say anything to him. He'd probably think she was playing hard to get, but she was clearly not interested if he was trying anything.

Then another kid came. "Hello Sam." she said plainly. She wasn't very sure what to say to him. She remembered him vaguely, having said his name. But something was blocking any other information she had of him.

Keith rubbed the sleep from his eyes and checked his watch. A quick look at the rapidly spinning hands reminded him that his watch did not in fact tell time.

He moaned. He was hungry. What time was it? "Note to self," he muttered, yawning and staggering through the doors of the great hall, "do not inhale unknown fumes from NEWT level potions project. No matter how much money is offered." He shook his head. "Note on previous not to self: unless it's over 3 galleons." He checked his wallet and found it woefully empty - the stupid 4th years had robbed him blind while he was unconscious. He sighed and ran his hand through his hair. He would hunt them down later, but he'd need a secret weapon. He wasn't about to take on three 4th years with nothing more than his wand.

He sat down at the nearest table in the great hall. Barely anyone was there, but perhaps the charms were still in effect for...breakfast? Lunch? He had no clue what time it was. "Eggs," he said, his voice bouncing around the huge hall.

Nothing happened.

"Pork chops?" He asked hopefully. Still nothing. "Crisis, crisis," he muttered to himself. "Critical food failure. Starvation imminent." He could always walk to the kitchens, but that was soooo faaaaar awaaaaaay.

"Bleh," he said, laying his head down on the bench. He would go back to sleep. Better to die unconscious than awake. That was when something caught his eye.

A jar. There was a jar on the floor, down on the other end of the table. Curious, Keith rolled to the ground and crawled across the magically cleaned floor towards the jar. He peered inside. Scabs? he thought to himself, sitting and placing the jar between his legs. He popped open the jar and took a quick sniff, immediately recoiling at the smell. "Dragon pox," he said with a small nod. His sister had gotten dragon pox when she had been younger, and Keith knew the smell of the scabs.

Keith did not question why dragon pox scabs were sitting in a jar under a table in the great hall - he simply accepted. Obviously it was a sign from God - this was the perfect way to get back at the 4th years who had knocked him out and stolen his money (Keith conveniently ignored the fact that it was his own stupidity that had gotten him knocked out) "Victory!" He cried, awkwardly crawling out from under the table next to Selwyn and Alexis, still clutching the jar "Keith! Away!"

Sam looked up as he heard his name and smiled politely at Alexis once more, deciding that his study could be put on hold long enough to allow him not to be a totally rude person. "How's it going?" he asked her, noting that she was in a conversation with Selwyn - possibly the weirdest child Sam knew. "Having fun?" He asked, closing his book and sliding closer to the two of them to join in with their conversation, deciding that study was dull.

Luckily enough that action brought him closer to Keith as the little thief snuck back out of the table, shouting something about himself then running off with a jar of something which, judging by Keith's body language, did not belong to him. "Hey Selwyn," he said, pointing at the receding figure of Keith.

"That your Jar?"

Sam grinned as he realised what Selwyn was doing, shrugging and shaking his head as he suggested that Sam go chase Keith. "Nah," he said, a defiant look flashing Selwyn's way, "I'm much happier here thanks, looks like it's just someone's leftover stuff anyway," he said.

Selwyn was a pain in the arse, that much was for sure, and right now it seemed that Sam had a perfect opportunity to give him a taste of his own medicine. "Oh," he said, a look of fake shock crossing his face, "Have you two not met before? Selwyn, this is Alexis," he said, pointing at the Ravenclaw girl as he did so, "And Alexis this is Selwyn," he added with a smile her way. He had a feeling that he could have quite a bit of fun with this.
