Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Charms - Lesson 1: Seventh Years Empty Charms - Lesson 1: Seventh Years

[OOC: Sixth and Seventh year Charms is optional. Your student has just completed their OWLs and then their sixth year of class. Sixth year, according to the books, is a great deal more difficult than the previous ones. Kaiden has accepted O, EE, and A for sixth years, but if they did not do well that year, they will not be allowed to continue as a seventh year unless they had an O or an EE, and he believes that they have genuinely attempted to do their best the year before. This can be appealed by speaking to him in a separate thread, so you can PM me for options there.]

There was no use beating around the bush for this one. They were all old enough to know what was expected of them, and to know that this year meant a lot to them. The students, that is.

No introductions were necessary this time, at least he didn't feel like there was any need, because he knew a few of these students were already at least aquatinted with him. Though he couldn't say he would remember them, for many reasons. If anyone didn't know him, well, they could just ask. And vice versa because he doubted he'd really remember anyone. This would probably be the most boring of lessons, mostly because it was going to be all revision. There would be some practice though, which he knew none of the students could actually complain about. Everyone loved the chance to use their magic, no matter what the situation.

Of course it wasn't better than using it when it wasn't allowed..

Kaiden watched the students file in, leaning against his desk and giving the occasional nod to some students who'd recognized him and had said something. He didn't recognize most, if any, of them but he didn't want to seem like he was ignoring them so he figured a nod would be appropriate. Someone did stand out to him, though, but he wasn't sure why. He'd have to look into it later on. For now though..

"Alright, today's class is going to consist of revisiting charms you have learned through your time here at Hogwarts." He began, "You'll be telling me what the incantations are, their effects, and finally you'll demonstrate how they are to be used. Later on, there will be an essay on any two charms that I expect to be handed in by the next time we meet." He told the class.

Now then, we'all start with these three; The Disarming Charm, the Summoning Charm, and the Freezing Charm."
