Having a good time

Chris felt his brain freeze almost instantly after bitting into some of the strawberry ice-cream that the young brunette girl had brought him. It was really cold, and the frozen strawberry wasn't helping warming up. He shivered slightly, tightning his fights slightly then relaxing, a small smile on his face, enjoying the flavour of the ice-cream. He had just told her he worked as an Auror for the Ministry, and despite she didn't say anything, most people always thought that he had gotten his werewolf bite from there, but in fact no, it had been passed down genetically to him, completly the opposite.

"Oh, a Being Specialist? I've heard somethings about them, though I'm not really sure what they do .. Could you enlighten me?"

Alexis nodded slowly and thought about where she should start first to explain to him what a Being Specialist was. "Hm ... Well, a Being Specialist is a person who takes care of creatures who have the ability to rationalize things. Creatures like Wizards, Witches, Muggles, Goblins, Vampires, Hags, Giants, House-Elves, Veela, and Werewolves, in their human forms, all fall into that category." she told him, in a smooth gentle voice, that sounded completely different than the voice she had used with him before. She loved being in the Ministry as a Being Specialist, but she really just couldn't handle it much more.

Owning a shop in Diagon Alley was easier, and there wasn't as much stress as in the Ministry. She sighed softly, and lowered her gaze for a moment. "Being a Being Specialist was fun, even with all the stress that came with it. I liked being there, but here I can do whatever I want, whenever I want." she said in a distant voice. Alexis was remembering when she was in the Ministry, and her mind was comparing the two places to see what was the better place.

"Oh, that's why I was pretty sure I'd aldready seen you. I did a lot of work with some werewolfs, paperwork's, and making them official to the Ministry, and maybe that's the explanation to the high number of times we may have seen at the Ministry."

Chris was feeling slightly more comfortable now. He had finished his strawberry ice-cream, which stopped the cold rush that went down his spine everytime he took a bite, bu also, the girl that took his order, who was also a werewolf like him, was starting to talk to him, not in the same cold tone that she had refered to him before, but in a more warm, friendfull tone, which Chris apreciated and retributed with a small smile when she started talking. He could see her eyes, reminiscing all the good moments that she had probably spent at the Ministry, working as a Being Specialist. Despite all the work that came with it, indeed, working at the Ministry was very nice, because, you knew you were helping the wizard community, which made evrything better.

"Yeah, beeing an Auror is also very tiring, specially now that I'm always on field duty. But still, I love my job, and it makes me happy to be able to do it everyday."

"That may be it." she smiled at him. "Although I didn't work at the Ministry very long." she sighed. She looked down at her hand, and messed around with the ring that she had on her ring finger. She actually missed working at the Ministry a lot, but she doubted she would decide to go back. She was happy owning the Cafe Twin Montez and she wouldn't give it up for anything. It was just so much calmer there in Diagon Alley, than in the Ministry.

The Ministry could be suffocating at times for her. She needed freedom to do what she wanted, at times when she wanted too and that was something the Ministry didn't give her. She had to be sitting in a cubicle for hours a day, and she didn't get many breaks. Especially since she always threw herself into her work and she wouldn't stop doing something until she finished it. Then by the time she finished something it was time to go home, so she really didn't have time to do anything, she couldn't even hang out with her friends anymore. But now that she was here, it was much easier for her. She even had her best friend helping her run the cafe, which made things even easier for her, and she would be able to hang out with her friends there since she owned the place.

"I can imagine that being an Auror is hard." she said. "Having to chase after bad guys all the time." she smiled gently at him. At the back of her mind, her subconscious was still telling her to be careful with this guy. He was still a threat to her because of her being involved with Naomi and the pack.She sighed softly as she continued to play with the ring on her finger.

Christopher felt himself much at ease now, specially since the tone in the girl's voice had changed and seemed much more friendlier then ever. In fact, he was starting to enjoy the time at the Cafe more, but he could still feel some nervosism from the girl's Aura, maybe she still didn't trust him completlely, not just because he was a stranger or something .. But maybe because working for the Ministry of Magic, and since she was a werewolf and she was probably in some kind of pack, maybe she was worrying for her pack's safety. That didn't really bother him much.

The thought of the girl working at the Ministry, yet prefering to work in the Cafe, quickly appeared in his mind, and he understud it when he realized that, for the first 2 years of his work in there, he only did Desk Job and a couple of Field Work but nothing ever too special, so he really could understand how she felt.

"Yeah, sometimes it can be really stressfull though."

Something told her that he wasn't interested in anything to do with the pack, but she couldn't help worry. He probably wasn't interested because he didn't know what pack she belonged to. He probably thought that it was a family pack or something. But with her being the only werewolf there, she obviously wasn't in a pack with her family. They were all vampires, and she was out of place with her own family.

But her pack was with Naomi Greyback, the fiancee of the infamous Felix Barker. That was what worried her, but she had her defenses to keep anyone from reading her mind, so she wouldn't be easy to get information out of. That was really good, and it would keep the pack safe even if it meant she wasn't. To her the first priority was keeping everyone else safe, then she could worry about herself.

Her body relaxed a bit as she thought about her ability to keep anyone from reading her mind. She was safe, so she didn't have to keep acting like she was now. She could act normal for now. "I imagine it would." she said to him softly.
