Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Coming Clean (Catalina) Empty Coming Clean (Catalina)

Post by Guest Sun Jun 21, 2009 4:40 pm

Davina was sitting on her bed. She was reading the letter. Again. And Again. She still had trouble believing it. She was going to make it right. She was going to put a stop to this. She wouldn't let herself cry though. That would get her nowhere. She needed to be strong. She was full of emotion, for once in her life. She wasn't paying attention to anyone or anything around her. She just needed...she didn't even know what she needed anymore. She just sat there. Reading. Again. And Again.

Catalina strolled into the dormitories, spotting Davina instantly. Noticing that no one else was around, she immediately sat next to her friend and pulled her into an embrace. She knew instantly that something was wrong.

"Please, Davina, tell me what is the matter," Catalina whispered sadly, her sapphire eyes lighting with tears. She hated seeing her friend like this, and feared the worst.

Davina looked up and saw Catalina. She sighed. She knew she would have to tell her at some point, though she really wasn't looking forward to it. "It's...it's...my dad." she said, holding back her tears. She wasn't determined not to cry. It was weak, she wouldn't do that. She folded up the letter and put it down in front of her. She stared at it.

Catalina gazed at her, rubbing her friend's arm with a porcelain hand. Immediately noticing the distance, she frowned and said, "Do not do that to me, Davina. I am here for you. Do not push me away like that."

She pulled Davina closer when she spoke of her dead. Catalina figured that someone had murdered him. But, who?

Davina looked at Catalina. She would at least pretend to be, she owed Catalina that. "I don't know exactly...some Ministry person. I thought they were supposed to be on our side!" she told Catalina, making it seem like she was with them. She put the letter under her pillow. She couldn't bear to read it again, she just couldn't.

Catalina stared into her eyes and said, "If you do not know exactly, then you must not place blame with them. They are on our side, Davina. You need proof." She gazed at her silently. "Who told you?"

Davina knew she would have to lie slightly here. "My mum, in a l-letter..." she said trailing off. She knew she was about to cry any minute but she was trying to stop herself. She hated crying. If the Ministry was with the light side, she knew it wasn't where she belonged.

Catalina stared into Davina's glossy eyes, and she looked past the sadness. She saw contempt and hatred for the Ministry and deception towards Catalina. With a sigh, she said, "Do not do that, Davina. You know that I can tell when you are being untruthful." She was silent for a long time. "What have you done?"

Davina looked at Catalina. All she had done was get revenge. She wasn't a brave person. She was a timid, shy person. She would convince Catalina that way. "Nothing. That's the problem. I'm too cowardly to do anything about it. I should help fight or something but I just can't do it. I feel so useless." she complained. A lot of this was true, as she did feel scared and useless. She was trying to get better, but she just left that tiny detail out.

"You are not cowardly, Davina, you just do not know what to do." She paused. "You knwo that I am a member of the Order, and I can help you find out what happened. You do not have to walk the path of darkness. I promise that I can save you. I shall never give up on you, Davina. I love you." She flashed a reassuring smile, trying to give her friend the benefit of the doubt. Maybe Catalina had it all wrong.
